With a 4 mega pixel Kodak camera (DX6490), the images are of size 2304×1728. With an 18 mega pixel Canon camera (700D), the images are of size 5184×3456.

While more mega pixels mean the image is able to capture more detail, it also means than blur, if any, gets amplified in the larger image.
