A long time ago, a ‘Silver Jubilee’ was a marker that was coveted by most film makers. A film was declared a ‘Silver Jubilee’ hit once it completed a reign of 25 weeks at the box office.

These days, though films earn hundreds of crores at the box office, they do not seem to last for a long time. The Silver Jubilee effect is achieved by films not in terms of ‘number of weeks at the box office’, but in terms of ‘number of theaters where released simultaneously’.

So, Silver Jubilee is not 25 week deep, it is now 25 theater wide.
