Synchronization

TortoiseSVN: To get a repository, we have two options – export a copy of the repository or create a synchronized directory. If repository artefacts are exported, there is no connection between the artefacts in your directory and those in the repository.

You are free to use them in any way you want to do so. In case of a ‘synchronized’ directory, any changes to the artefacts can be reflected to the repository on using the ‘commit’ command.

Microsoft Team Explorer (MTE): To get a copy of the repository, we have to map a directory (only for the first time) where the repository data will be downloaded. Then, to get latest artefacts, we have to use the ‘get latest’ command.
