As per the latest announcement from Amazon, they plan to deliver packages via ‘Drone Delivery’ and hope to reach you hopefully within 30 minutes since the time you order.

So now we can have packages drop out of thin air, literally.

On a serious note, if this example is followed by multiple vendors, we will soon have the skies full of drones. Additionally, what about safety? What happens if a drone falls out of the sky and people are hurt (though not fatally), by the drone itself and more so by it whirring blades?

In the context of delivering packages, what if someone decides to knock the drones out of the sky and simply take the attached stuff? While the threat of theft always lingers for delivery, drone delivery can take retail it to ‘higher levels’, literally.
