Recently, I have started going through my old DVDs to purge unnecessary information and store them on a portable HDD.

To do this activity, I need to copy the data from the DVD onto the HDD, which by itself is a very time consuming task.

Having to copy 4.7GB of data is making me shiver – what would have happened if Blu-Ray or HD-DVD had become popular and 50GB discs had become the norm.

This copy operation from DVDs is making me believe that I should not have shifted from CDROMs. If only I had more space in the cupboard…
