On March 26, it was ‘Holi Purnima’ – full moon night for the festival of Holi.
As we had a some time on hand before the neighborhood holi was lit, we decided to go to the terrace to fly our kites – remaining from Makar sankranti festival.
When we started, we had some light. Then we had more light. The moon was full and we had enough light see our kites flying in the sky. The breeze was also good enough.
One of our kites – yellow and red in colour – came fluttering down to the terrace. AND out of the blue (or rather the night sky) came an owl!!! It probably thought the kite was something edible and came to grab it. On realizing its mistake, it flew away silently – as silently as it had come.
