Many years ago, on a whim, four of us decided to go on a cycle trip from Khopoli (http://maps.google.com/?q=18.7833,73.3333) to Bhira (http://maps.google.com/?q=18.45486016273484,73.39008808135986).
While the distance was 66.7Km and may not seem much, it was a challenge considering none of us had ever bicycled for such long distances and that too in the month of May – peak summer for India.
We were fully prepared for tyre punctures – having received instructions for 10 minutes from a cycle repair shop, no less – fortunately, we faced none. The experience was tiring but great fun.
