While I have no proof to say that a bias exists, it is interesting to note that in the Apple Vs Samsung patent saga, for cases being heard outside the US, are going in favour of Samsung, while those in the US are going in favour of Apple.Could the jury factor be of significance? In the US, most cases are jury trials, while in other places, these have been ruled by a judge.

Could this be bias or is it an illustration that patents these days are so broad that ‘infringement’ is open to interpretation.
